Mark T. Anderson Comes from Martinsville Hospital
DANVILLE, Va. (July 19, 2007) Mark T. Anderson has been named Chief Financial Officer of Danville Regional Medical Center.
Anderson has been at the hospital since July 2. For the past five years he was the CFO for Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County, located in Martinsville, Va.
“I’m excited to accept the position at Danville Regional,” Anderson said. “This is a strong hospital with dedicated associates, physicians and volunteers. I look forward to being a part of this organization—one that is truly dedicated to providing quality healthcare services for its neighbors in the Dan River region,” Anderson added.
Anderson serves as a City Councilman for Martinsville and is planning on resigning from that post as a result of his relocation plans to the city of Danville. He will be working with the Martinsville Mayor to allow for a smooth transition.
“My family (wife Lisa, sons Jordan, Brian and daughter Melissa) are looking forward to making the move to Danville. We have a contract on a house here, and we are putting our house on the market in Martinsville. We are planning on having our children attend Danville schools in the fall.”
“We look forward to the expertise and nearly 20 years of experience that Mark brings to this position,” said Ruth McDaniel, interim CEO for Danville Regional Medical Center. “He has a proven track record and our associates are already benefiting from his leadership,” she added.
Anderson grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana and graduated with a degree in finance from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana.
