DANVILLE, VA - (May 11, 2007) - Danville Regional Medical Center has recognized 171 employees for their dedication to the hospital and their patients.
Five employees shared the honor of having worked 35 years. They are: Nancy Burner, Operating Room; Elizabeth Gregory, Business Office; William Hankins, Pathology; Peggy Cobbs, Admitting; and Jean Henderson, Environmental Services.
"In today's world, having employees who have worked in one organization for so many years is quite significant," said Judy Laister, Director of Human Resources. "It sends a positive message about the work environment at the Medical Center."
Employees whose work anniversary ends with their 5th, 10th, 15th etc. years were honored with a certificate of appreciation at the annual employee service awards dinner and will be choosing a gift commemorating their tenure.
Danville Regional employs approximately 1,300 people, making it the second largest private employer in the region.
