DANVILLE, Va. (Jan. 25, 2011) - Bebe Janish has joined the administrative staff at Danville Regional Medical Center (DRMC) as its director of physician services.  She is overseeing physician recruitment and relations, along with physician retention and resource initiatives for the hospital.

Janish has extensive training in physician services and recruitment.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.  Janish is currently working towards her master’s degree in Transformational Leadership and Social Change from Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Md.

She brings 21 years of physician directing expertise to Danville.  Most recently, she worked as director of physician services for Ennis Regional Medical Center in Ennis, Texas.

“Bebe has the expertise we are looking for at DRMC,” said Eric Deaton, CEO of Danville Regional.  “We are thrilled to have her join our staff and know her knowledge will help us strengthen the hospital’s relationships with all of our physicians.”

Janish began her career as marketing coordinator for SLH Publications and later served as special projects director for St. Luke’s Hospital.  She also served as the executive director of Northeast Council of Governments, an association of city and county governments in a 10-county region.  She believes that her wide range of experience has prepared her well for her new position with Danville Regional.

“I am very excited to join Danville Regional as physician services director,” said Janish.  “I look forward to advancing the relationships with our current physicians, recruiting top-notch physicians to the area and creating a positive environment for all involved.”

During her time with the Northeast Council of Governments, Janish collaborated with state, community and local government leaders in economic development, job creation and community assessments for the area.  She has served on the Chamber Marketing and Community Action Resource Team and Ambassadors committees, the Convention and Visitors Board and the Downtown Revitalization Board.

Janish was also awarded Best Collateral Materials at the Roger Bonds National Physician Recruitment Seminar and has been a speaker at both the National Physician Recruitment Conference and LifePoint Hospital’s National Conference for Physician Services.

Danville Regional is the leading medical center in the Dan River Region of Virginia and North Carolina, providing open heart surgery and advanced cancer treatment. Approximately 140 physicians are on the medical staff. The medical center employs approximately 1,200 people.  For additional information, visit http://www.danvilleregional.com.
