Grossman Assumes New Role at Danville Regional

DANVILLE, VA - (August 4, 2006) - Kim Grossman, Chief Nursing Officer of Danville Regional Medical Center, has been named to a new position where he can concentrate on quality nursing care.

He will become Director of Nursing Quality Resource Management when his replacement as Chief Nursing Officer has been appointed.

"Kim has been a loyal, dedicated and effective leader at the Medical Center for 18 years," said Art Doloresco, CEO. "He has made significant contributions to patient care during that time. Now, he prefers to focus on one specific area - quality patient care - without the myriad of administrative duties that he currently has."

Grossman said he wants to devote himself to his passion - "quality improvement in nursing care, where I can make a difference, and that requires a full-time commitment. Both Art and I are confident that this move will benefit the Hospital," he said.

"The Medical Center is a great organization with dedicated nurses who put quality patient care first," Grossman said. "My new role will be to help raise the bar to an even higher level of quality."
