SURGEON JOINS MEDICAL STAFF AT DANVILLE REGIONAL

Curtis Bower, M.D. is North Carolina Native

He is practicing with Gary R. Lahti, D.O. at Danville Surgical Center at 201 South Main Street.

A native of Monroe, NC, Bower is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. His surgical residency was at Pitt County Memorial Hospital / East Carolina University, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident in Surgery during his final year there.

"I'm excited to be joining the outstanding team of physicians and nurses at Danville Regional," Bower said. "The Medical Center is an excellent facility, and I'm impressed with the nursing staff who do all they can to support physicians and surgeons and to provide quality patient care."

He joins more than 140 physicians representing 30 medical specialties on the Medical Staff of Danville Regional.

Bower said he is eager to become involved in medical and community activities. "We chose to live in the Danville area because of the excellent location and friendly people. We believe Danville will be a wonderful place to raise our children." The Bowers have two children, ages 2 years and five months.
