My husband, Walter Hodges, had surgery on Aug. 26 at Danville Regional Medical Center. It was a very serious surgery and even with today’s technology, I was nervous.
However, my tension was greatly decreased from the minute we walked in the main entrance until we left two days later. Every associate that I saw would smile and say “hello.” All associates in every department were great. I would like to name each one, but I can’t remember all of their names.
The nursing staff on 2A is the very best, including Linda Gauldin, Sharronda Carter-Poole, Ms. Ashby and Harry Poteat. I felt very comfortable going home at night with Walter under their care. Other associates who were very attentive were Carolyn Scruggs, Betty Holley and Charles Guill. One more very special person was Dr. Leon Abram.
Danville and Danville Regional Medical Center are so blessed to have him. He was caring and compassionate and because of his surgical ability, Walter’s quality of life has improved 100 percent.
